When and Why did you join Trinity?

I joined Trinity in October. I had previously been working as a Bid Writer & Project Manager for a National company within the Construction marketplace, however after 7 years I was looking for a new challenge. Trinity has offered me a tremendous opportunity to continue writing major bids and I already feel ‘right at home’ as the Bid Team have provided such a warm welcome.

What is your role at Trinity and what does it involve?

I am a Group Bid Writer seeking new business opportunities through the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) and other online portals. I prepare tender responses for all Maintenance and Servicing requirements which are usually for Public Sector clients on a National basis. In addition, I’m also involved in highlighting the services Trinity can offer as a potential Preferred Supplier on a number of National frameworks. Finally, I also have the pleasure of working alongside Trinity’s Renewals team and assist them with managing existing client relationships to ensure we deliver a first class customer service.

What’s the best part of your job?

That’s simple, finding out we have been successful in a bid I have helped put together.

What kind of challenges do you face in your role?

Tendering can be very unpredictable and often the tender documents are received with very short submission deadlines. I will often gain project specific information from all areas of the business to incorporate in our tender responses, this ensures our response is of the highest quality. It is also really important that our tender response is both comprehensive and competitive, however I enjoy these challenges and find the whole process really motivational.

Tell us an unusual fact about yourself?

I worked with Jane Walker to assist on doing the make for the film Shaun of the Dead
