MATTHEW MARRIOTT

Managing Director – PTSG Fire Division
  • Joined Trinity in 2007 and has over 20 years of industry experience
  • Appointed Operations Manager in 2011; Airports and Technical Director in 2015; Board Director in 2021
  • Appointed Managing Director in March 2023
  • An Incorporated Engineer (IEng) with the Engineering Council, a member of the Institute of Fire Safety Managers and the Institution of Engineering and Technology

Managing Director
  • Joined Trinity in 2015 as Financial Controller
  • Appointed Finance Director in 2021
  • Chartered Management Accountant with experience across multiple industries

When and Why did you join Trinity?

I joined in December 2017. I was unhappy in my previous job and the role I applied for at Trinity (Senior Renewals Administrator) sounded perfect for me! This was confirmed during my interview and although my role within the company has changed, I can honestly say I still really enjoy my job.

What is your role at Trinity and what does it involve?

I am Business Support Manager, I look after the Renewals team who ensure our customers receive their renewal documents in a timely manner. I also manage the Social Media platforms and I monitor, reorder and distribute any marketing stock and track upcoming industry events.

What’s the best part of your job?

My job is really structured so I mostly always know what to expect week to week (unless something unexpected occurs!) I love a reminder so often have various alarms going off which my colleagues find hilarious. Also, the teams I work with are fantastic! A really great group of people who all work hard and want to do a good job.

What kind of challenges do you face in your role?

Time is always a challenge because we are so busy, but that’s something I enjoy about the role. I don’t like being bored and there’s always something to get involved in.

Tell us an unusual fact about yourself?

This is a hard one, I’m really boring! Everyone in my house has the same initials – Carra & Carl, Cassie & Cami (our German Shepherds, Cassie is the older pup by almost 2 years and they have the same parents so are full siblings).
