Favourite drink?

Since my son arrived 10 months ago I hardly drink now as I can’t handle the sleepless nights sober, never mind with a hangover! But I do enjoy the odd Pale Ale or generous glass of Rioja

When and Why did you join Trinity?

I joined Trinity in the last three months because I was excited by the challenging opportunity offered by Trinity. I’ve always been passionate about the Security Industry and with circa 15 years of experience under my belt, the move was a perfect, and natural progression, for me and my career.

What is your role at Trinity and what does it involve?

I am responsible for the Technical support and associated growth of our Security knowledge/capability to assist the National & Regional Sales/Operational teams to deliver High End projects, coupled with Trinity’s outstanding customer service. A key focus of the company’s Security strategy moving forward will be based on a combination of IP CCTV, Access Control and Integrated Security platforms. My role will ensure the accurate and timely designs of security projects from pre-sale/tender to post-sale support with the commissioning and delivery of security projects in line with the Company’s quality and customer service standards. I will also be actively supporting and training existing and new engineers, building on our current skill sets and developing training plans to ensure the highest levels of technical capability is achieved for the benefit of our customers.

What’s the best part of your job?

I get to satisfy my ‘inner geek’ by staying at the forefront of new and exciting technologies that will help us design, where required, specialist Security Systems for niche areas of the market. I’m also very excited to be involved with Trinity’s ever-growing Apprenticeship program. With the shortage of trained and experienced engineers in our sector, the idea of training a team of new breed engineers has always been an ambition of mine.

What kind of challenges do you face in your role?

The Electronic Security Industry is a large and varied one which requires a wide breadth of knowledge from those working within it. One of the biggest challenges, and one that I’ve always been keen to stay on top of throughout my career, is to make sure I, and our teams, are the best at what we do. I will ensure this belief is upheld by being passionate about our systems, creating close, long lasting relationships with our partners and never skimping on training requirements.

Once upon a time in a galaxy far, far away…. I DJ’d at Nikki Beach, Marbella
